A cartoon.
Dedication:
This newsletter is dedicated to my youngest Sister Patty McHatton. She is serving with the US Navy in Falluja, Iraq. She has made many sacrifices to serve her country and I really appreciate her dedication and committment.
Thank you for reading my March 2007 Newsletter.
Let me know if I can ever help you in any way.
If you are ever in the Seattle area, please let me know so we can have a cup of coffee. I would love to show you our green screen studio.
Remember, if you have a mom or a dad or a grandfather or a grandmother, sit down with them and listen to their stories.
They really do appreciate knowing you care about their life stories.
Best wishes,
RJ McHatton

Bill & Dorothy Shaw live in small town on the Coast. They were having a nice family BBQ last Fourth of July, when Bill started telling stories about his experiences in WW2. He told about how he met his wife Dot at a USO dance and that they have been married now for over 60 years. The grandkids were mesmerized by these old stories and they decided to have Inventive Productions capture the AutoBiography of Bill & Dorothy Shaw on DVD. Bill & Dot were reluctant at first, but when they found out how easy the process was and how much the grandkids really cared about their stories, they became very enthused. Today, we are just finishing the final Video Biography and look forward to a family premier.
What is a Video Biography?
Here is the process:
We interview a subject in our studio or on location for about three hours. We capture the interview with two or three High Definition Video Cameras.
We use cue cards, so the subject does not need to memorize anything.
Then we ask for a box full of photos and home movies and other collectibles. We take these back and scan them into our computers.
Then our editors take all the footage from the interviews, interviews with friends and family, and the photos and start creating a professional video biography.
The end result is a 30-45 minute entertaining movie about the life of this person, told in their own words.
It is a priceless gift. A gift of history, of voice, of wisdom, and of love.
"I look back on my life like a good day's work; it is done and I am satisfied with it."
